Schaberg, Sr., who worked as an engineer on the Panama Canal, St. Louis sewer projects, World War II army post construction, and Missouri Public Service Commission studies, include family correspondence between Schaberg and his wife, sisters, and sons. Ben Jr. and John George Schaberg were in China during and after the 1937 Japanese invasion.

The Frank R. Schoppenhorst Papers contain a microfilm copy of a memoir of military service during World War I by a native of Marthasville, Warren County, Missouri. Schoppenhorst served in the 354th Infantry Regiment of the 89th Division. He saw action in the St. Mihiel and Muese-Argonne offensives. He was wounded during the fighting in the Argonne Forest.

The John James Sitton, Civil War Memoir Collection contain photocopies of a military history of the Oregon County company of the 2nd Regiment, 7th Division, Missouri State Guard, July 4 - December 1, 1861. The narrative was written by John James (J. J. ) Sitton, who also served in the 7th Division, but in a different regiment. Sitton became captain of the Oregon County men in later Confederate service. The memoir also includes biographical data on
selected Orego County soldiers.

The John James Sitton Papers consists of a three volume journal, scrapbook, miscellaneous papers, and photographs, 1860-1913 of a Missouri confederate soldier and postwar resident of Oregon Coounty, Missouri. The journal, 1860-1882, documents service in the Missouri State Guard and other confederate units in Missouri, Arkansas, and Mississippi during the Civil War. It also includes his veterans activities and other aspects of Sitton's life.
