The Frank R. Schoppenhorst Papers contain a microfilm copy of a memoir of military service during World War I by a native of Marthasville, Warren County, Missouri. Schoppenhorst served in the 354th Infantry Regiment of the 89th Division. He saw action in the St. Mihiel and Muese-Argonne offensives. He was wounded during the fighting in the Argonne Forest.
