The Coalition Against Public Funding For Stadiums is an organization founded by Jeanette Mott Oxford and Fred Lindecke formed in hopes of rejecting the proposed use of $421 million in state, county, and city funds for the building of a new ballpark. Although their attempts were unsuccessful, they were able to save taxpayers at least half of this cost, as well as creating new ordinances in the city and county, which called for a public vote on any public use of funds for any professional sports development. The collection includes affidavits, application of transfers, summons, and memoranda.
