The poster is a collage of images that were mounted to a piece of plywood and then shot as one large halftone photograph. The poster includes an eagle logo, the title "Eagle Hurst Ranch, Huzzah, Mo" and fifteen halftones of various scenes at the Ranch. Among these half-tones are the entrance gate to the Ranch, the swimming pool, horseback riding, fly fishing, scenic views of the woods and the Huzzah River, swimming in the river, the dining hall and cabins.

In 1984, a coalition of civil rights activists, religious organizations, social service agencies, and environmentalists organized to place a voter-initiated anti-nuclear proposition on the November 1984 ballot. Proposition B, which was defeated, would have inhibited Union Electric from charging customers for the Callway County nuclear plant. The collection includes proposed legislation, meeting minutes, press releases, correspondence, memoranda, taped radio announcements, and petitions.

Working in conjunction with the Coalition for the Environment and the Sierra Club, Green was instrumental in preventing flood plain development in Missouri and ensuring that the Environmental Protection Agency enforced clean air standards. Green was active in the environmental movement from the 1960s until he died in 2003.

Bonnie Hart pursued a private campaign to protest and oppose nuclear power. She wrote to legislators and newspapers, made numerous calls to radio programs, and collected a large newspaper clippings file about the hazards of nuclear energy. Known as the Atomic Lady, Hart was a major source of information for other anti-nuclear activists. The collection primarily contains Hart's large newspaper clipping file and her book and magazine collection. In addition to nuclear power, topics of interest include Vietnam, the space program, and various political campaigns. The papers include several folders of the correspondence she received from legislators in response to her letters expressing her anti-nuclear stance.
