The Center and Periphery newsletter was a College of Arts and Science faculty newsletter resulting from concern over communications breakdown within University of Missouri-Columbia. The newsletter ceased publication when UMC-NEA chapter was organized and began publishing Faculty Perspectives. Included are statements of purpose and editorial policy, and discussions of academic freedom, faculty responsibilities, political pressures vs. educational needs, teacher/course evaluation, pertinent book reviews, admission and budget policies, role and scope proposal, library, salary studies, and other issues.

Hendricks and H. H. Patten were the clerks.

The lots were controlled by the Center Valley Lead & Zinc Company of Webb City, Missouri. The entries note the rules for mining the properties, the names of miners who leased them, and forfeitures of leases.

Includes letters, handwritten notes, financial records, and other miscellaneous papers.

The Chain of Rocks Bridge Collection consists of magazines, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and a scrapbook compiled by Karlene McAllister, former promotions director for Trailnet Inc.'s Old Chain of Rocks Bridge restoration project. The collection documents Trailnet Inc's early efforts to restore the bridge as a pedestrian walkway. The items in the scrapbook consist of photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, newsletters, and promotional flyers that chronicle several Trailnet Inc.-sponsored activities on the Chain of Rocks bridge, including Halloween events, birdwatching, and a marriage ceremony held on the bridge.
