Papers of Leon Burgoyne and his daughter, Suzanne. Leon was a Navy aviator during World War II and coached boys' basketball in Berrien, Michigan. Suzanne was a professor of Theatre Arts at Creighton University and the University of Missouri. The papers include correspondence from World War II and the Vietnam War, in which Suzanne's ex-husband served, and materials documenting Suzanne's teaching career.

Four-Minute Men was a volunteer organization created by the U.S. Committee on Public Information and endorsed by President Woodrow Wilson during World War I. Orators delivered brief speeches on specified topics to "ready-made" audiences in theaters and other venues. The propaganda campaign served to solicit support for the war. L.L. [Loyal Lovejoy] Leonard of St. Louis was the State Director for Missouri. The collection includes national and state materials.

Diaries kept by Lillian Bradford Dowler, a farm wife who grew up and lived in the Birch Tree community area in Shannon County, Missouri, her whole life. The diaries date from 1928 to 1995 and document family life and daily activities on the farm. Collection also includes transcriptions.

Papers of a University of Missouri School of Journalism graduate who spent much of her career working for NBC's Meet the Press from 1956-1998. She held several positions at Meet the Press and retired from the show as executive producer.
