This collection consists of twenty-three black and white and twenty color photographs that were loaned for scanning. The photographs include agricultural activities and rural farm life from the early 1910s to 1980s in Phelps and Dent Counties. The photographs include subjects such as cattle and hog raising, baling hay, showing livestock and the Lake Spring Homemaker's Club in 1953.

The Bates Family Papers is comprised of correspondence, wedding announcements, newspaper clippings, books, and photographs relating to the Bates and Keith families. Materials of interest include the wedding book of Henry Clay and Ruby Bixler and "The Language of Flowers," a book of poetry that belonged to Mary Bates. Also included in the collection are photographs of family members and friends in the form of prints, tintypes, and ambrotypes.

The Israel J. Baumgardner Photograph Collection contains the negatives created by Baumgardner, a photographer in Rolla, Missouri. Many of the images are studio portraits, but others include roadside landmarks of Route 66, World War I and II era images, and the local area. He also engaged in commercial and advertising photography.

The collection contains photographs taken by Sarah Messer Becking, a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and includes prints, negatives, contact sheets, slides, and digital files. The majority of the images are of athletic events held at the University of Missouri, especially football and men’s basketball games. The collection also includes some freelance photography work, student work from her time at the university, and a small amount of personal and family material.

The Donald Bergmann Papers consists of correspondence, meeting minutes, and photographs, documenting his service in the Army in Korea after World War II and his later involvement in St. Louis businesses, organizations, and charities. Topics of interest include the St. Louis Chapter of the Victorian Society in America, the Landmarks Association of St. Louis, and the German American Heritage Society.

 Finding Aid

The Roy W. Bergmann Papers include Bergmann's writings, correspondence, newspaper clippings, law cases, audiotapes, photographs, Together they chronicle Roy Bergmann's career from 1932-1996. Born on November 20, 1916, Roy Bergmann was the son of Roy H . Bergmann and Wilhelmina Catherine Bergmann. He attended Baden Grammar School, Beaumont High School, Washington University, and Michigan University. After being admitted to the bar in 1939, Bergmann joined his father's private law practice. Significant law accomplishments of Bergmann include acting as an attorney in United States vs. Black Jack, Park View Heights vs. Black Jack, and 178 Plaintiffs vs. St. Louis. He also incorporated Black Jack, Dellwood, and Cool Valley was a founding member of the University of Missouri St. Louis.
