The majority of the collection consists of photographs depicting several colleges, schools, churches, and religious leaders in Missouri. The correspondences and legal papers date from 1863 to 1876 and primarily discuss the requests of soldiers serving in the military. There is an assortment of souvenir items, particularly from Fulton, Missouri, and Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado in the early 1900s.
