The collection consists primarily of bound ledgers, such as member registers and account and minute books. Many of the older ledgers are quite fragile. Earlier record books may show occupations of members and their spouses. Records also show support services provided to members.

The Elmwood Cemetery Plot Maps consist of two (2) oversize maps,
Section H, and Single Grave Section, Block H, of the cemetery. Elmwood Cemetery opened in 1872. Section H, situated in the cemetery's southwest corner, was designated as the Jewish section after its purchase by the Reform Jewish Congregation B'nai Jehudah in November 1872. Elmwood Cemetery's grounds were designed by landscape architect George Kessler, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

This collection contains administrative records, correspondence, financial records, membership records, minutes, publications, and reports concerning Westport Camp No. 64 of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, a “fraternal organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of veteran heroes who fought and worked to save the Union in the American Civil War.”

The Charles Woods Papers contain correspondence from Charles Woods concerning a Southern claim against the United States government that he was attempting to resolve. A majority of the correspondence addresses his difficulties with getting his claim reviewed, extortion, and his experience overall. The letters within the collection are dated primarily in 1873, with one letter from 1878.

The collection contains a ledger of the Kansas City, St. Joseph & Council Bluffs Railroad Company, which notes the information of passengers from 1872 to 1873. The ledger was also used as a scrapbook of newspaper clippings by Aggie Dickinson, dated circa 1921.
