Three letters from Rogers, a Confederate soldier who was a prisoner of war, to his sister Ann Elizabeth Lientz, Rocheport, MO, describes the conditions in the three prisons he was in in 1862: McDowell College in St. Louis, Alton Penitentiary in Alton, IL, and Camp Chase near Columbus, OH.

The collection contains a description of Putz's various occupations and statistics about his 13 children.

The records of the Columbia Equal Suffrage Association and League of Women Voters contain minutes of the Columbia Equal Suffrage Association, 1912-1920, and League of Women Voters, 1920-1923; a newspaper clipping, "Five Columbia Women Honored for Valor in Suffrage Campaign;" and the constitution of the League of Women Voters of Missouri, adopted October 15-17, 1919.

The papers of the Missouri FarmHouse Library contain minutes of the organization, 1913-1971; histories of the fraternity in speeches and excerpts of diaries of prominent members. Also included are constitutions and bylaws of the organization, 1922-1971, and correspondence of the organization and associated auxiliary groups (e.g. FarmHouse Foundation and FarmHouse Alumni Association).

The papers of A.P. Green contain business and personal papers of a Mexico, MO, fire brick manufacturer. The collection includes correspondence with family members; business associates in Europe, and South America; as a trustee of Westminster College and member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Missouri; and with miscellaneous business and charitable organizations.

A collection of documents from the St. Louis area dating from the colonial and territorial periods. Filmed by the city of St. Louis in 1962, the original records are at the Missouri Historical Society in St. Louis and are called the St. Louis Archives.

The business records of the first hybrid corn company in Missouri include early company histories, scrapbooks, Italian POW labor records, and extensive financial records.

World War II letters of a serviceman from Cooper County, Missouri, to his parents and brother back home, 1942-1946. Eichhorn served in support roles in California, North Carolina, and New Jersey, as well as in the Azores. The collection includes publications printed by US and British military forces stationed in the Azores, 1945.

The papers of Ruth Hashbarger contain family documents and books from the Goebel, Roesche, and Haeberle families, all of whom immigrated to the United States from Germany. Ruth Hashbarger was a descendent of these families.

Correspondence, account books and treaties with various Indian tribes. Much of the material is to and from Indian agents at the area agencies. The bulk of the material is from the period when William Clark was superintendent. Also included are records of the Missouri Fur Company, 1812-1817.

Papers pertain to surveying of Indian lands, expenses of agencies, establishment of trading posts for the Indians, policy for emigrating Indians west of the Mississippi, depredations by Indians and estimates of costs accrued, negotiations and expenses involved with treaties, transcriptions of various chiefs' speeches and reports on the conflicts between various tribal groups.

The papers of Don Faurot, University of Missouri football coach and athletic director, consisting of correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, and publications documenting his life and career.

A letter from Lane to a Mrs. Wilson discussing efforts to keep the United States out of World War II and repeal the embargo of goods to England and the other belligerent countries.

Baptismal, confirmation, burial, and marriage records from St. Peter's, St. Joseph's, St. Paul's, and Immaculate Conception Catholic Churches in Ralls County and St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Monroe County. Records are incomplete.

Record books of a school associated with the Methodist Episcopal Church. Roll one is the record book of the finance committee, October 1894 to January 1896, which deals primarily with the erection of the institute building. Roll two is the treasurer's record book, October 1894 to August 1898, showing receipts and disbursements.

Miscellaneous accounts for purchases and boarding; a few diary-like entries. Cooper was apparently living in Fredericktown, Madison County, MO.

Shipping records showing date, sender, recipient, type of freight, and name of steamboat on which freight was shipped. Freight includes lead, hides, grains and fruit, and personal possessions.

Record book of a church organized in 1889 in St. Francois County, by John Wood and W.R. Aulsbury. Record book contains membership lists, often including dates of baptism, death, or dismissal, and meeting minutes (1890-1933) dealing with the running of the church.

Printed reports of the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th meetings of the association. List of delegates, and membership statistics.

Two volumes consisting of board minutes, 1919-1942, and treasurer's ledger dating from incorporations in 1899 to 1919. Minutes deal with general administration of this Gasconade County village. Ledger contains income and expense accounts and lists of taxation and business licenses. Loose items include a 1918 ordinance for the extension of the corporate limits and information on village electrification, 1917.

The records of the Boonville Mayor's Court contain civil cases tried before the mayor and brought to court by the city or the council. Cases involve assault and battery, disturbing the peace, slaughter house operations, market practices, food quality, street improvements, slave offenses, and general safety. The record shows the defendant, the charge, case disposition, sentence, and court costs.

The records of the Boonville Presbyterian Church contain minutes of session meetings of ruling elders and membership and financial information of the Old School Presbyterian Church of Boonville. The collection includes lists of ministers, elders, deacons, clerks of session, members, communicants, and baptisms.

The records of the Calvary Episcopal Church contain parish registers containing records of communicants, baptisms, confirmations, marriages, and burials. Also included are church services books containing the date, place, and nature of services; attendance statistics; name of officiating clergy; and notes.

The collection contains an account from an overland trip from Pike County, MO, to California taken by Peter L. and Adam J. Branstetter in 1850. The diary describes the trip, the weather, the route taken, and the land along the route. It also lists the miles traveled each day, accounts of purchased supplies, and the money made in California from gold mining. The return trip to Missouri in 1851 is also described, but in much less detail.

The collection contains signatures and personal identification data about depositors in the St. Louis branch of the Freedman's Savings and Trust Company. Includes accounts 223-366, dated 6 April-8 October 1869.

The collection contains an autobiography of a farmer, pioneer, rural school teacher, Union soldier, and Methodist missionary and minister.

Quarterly conference minutes of the Cape Girardeau circuit in Missouri. Also included are some minutes for the Jackson and Perryville circuits in the same district. The minutes list members present, discuss church business, and list the amount of money collected by each member church and how it was spent. Also includes brief history of financial transactions during the 1870s.

Account book and ledger for mining and smelting operations at Rose Camp and for mercantile operations at Independence, Wayne City, and St. Joseph, MO. Memoranda of personal accounts, medical remedies and farming; surveys; plats; and maps. Notes about the Civil War and jayhawking on the Missouri-Kansas border.

The records of the Bower Brothers Store contain journals of the general store in Bethel, MO, owned by Theodore L. Bower, 1890-1902, and records of Walter C. Bower and the Bower family, 1895-1909 and 1919-1924. Accounts, names of customers and purchases are listed in the store records. The family records include those of the George Bower estate, collections of promissory notes and family expenses.

The collection contains a day book of the Granville General Store, Monroe County, MO, with accounts from March 20, 1855 to September 2, 1856. All types of merchandise are listed in the accounts: indigo, shirts, tobacco, stone ware, candy, and straw hats, to name a few.

Meeting minutes and membership lists dating from organization in 1858 through May 1950 for a Boone County, MO, church. Minutes deal with construction and maintenance of church building, fund raising, member discipline, officers, delegates to the Little Bonne Femme Association of the Southern Baptist Church, and searches for ministers.

Letters and reports by the captain of Company K, 11th Regiment, Missouri Volunteer Infantry, describing troop movements, engagements, and camps from January 1861 to December 1862. Includes ordnance reports from Iuka, Corinth, Vicksburg, and St. Louis.

Records, in German, of the German Settlement Society of Philadelphia, which founded Hermann. Include land records with maps, bylaws, lists of stockholders, incorporation records, trustees' minutes for 1852-1877, collector and treasurer records, and an architectural drawing of the Town School, 1855.

This diary kept by a Polk County, MO, resident, contains short concise entries dealing with the daily events of a Confederate Missouri State Guard unit organized in July 1861. Simpson participated in the 1864 summer campaign through the Kennesaw Mountains, including the fall of Atlanta.

Records of Ste. Genevieve, Perryville, and York Chapel circuits of the St. Louis Conference District of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Includes minutes detailing church business and statements of funds collected from the churches. The journals cover the Ste. Genevieve circuit from 1845 to 1860, the Perryville circuit from 1864 to 1871, and the York Chapel circuit from 1881 to 1893.

The collection includes correspondence with other history and economics professors concerning Southwest Missouri State Teachers College, Springfield; the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and Miami University.
