The Thonssen Family Scrapbooks contains two scrapbooks which detail the lives of a German-American family who settled and lived in St. Louis, Missouri during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One of the volumes, titled My Commencement, relates to the graduation of Grace Evelyn Thonssen from McKinley High School in 1908 and contains photographs, student biographies, and program clippings. Subjects of interest include the Vinita Park and Fox Park neighborhoods of St. Louis, German-American life in the 20th century, and McKinley High School. Materials in this collection date from 1890 to 1940.
